Thursday, November 26, 2020 was the day, the auction of the 1999 Pokemon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Charizard #4 PSA 10 GEM MINT ended. It went around like wildfire, the gem among gems was for sale again! The one and only PSA 10 first edition Shadowless Charizard! Also called the crown jewel among pokemon cards and coveted by every Pokemon card collector. We’ll take you through the auction for a moment.

On Monday, November 16, someone posted the Shadowless first edition PSA 10 Charizard on Ebay. (Ebay is an online buying/selling platform but International. You can compare it to Marketplace). That same day, someone offered $152,200. So the buyer was already sure of a nice amount and the auction was then still running for 10 days! That had to be a spectacle. Keeping in mind that the previous record was broken by rapper Logic who bought one last month for $224,000. The famous Youtuber Paul Logan also managed to score one for $150,000 from the king of Pokemon him same Garry. The bids kept rising until the end. After which there was a final score on Thursday, November 26 of a whopping US$295,300.00 or EUR 247,143.99 on the counter!

So an official new record for the Charizard card has been set!
Where is this going to stop? Just a few weeks ago, the record was $150,000. Then $224,000 and so now already $295,000!
Fantastic news for anyone who owns one or more Charizards and has been collecting Pokemon cards for a long time. Less good news for those who were saving up to purchase an expensive Base Charizard. They will now have to save even longer because the prices keep going up!
