What is a pokemon fair?
A pokemon fair is a place where pokemon stores, collectors and streamers come together. Usually a large room or hall is rented out where you will then find only pokemon cards. There are then all stalls managed by a different holder for each stall. One stall will offer only sealed pokémon products such as: booster boxes, booster packs, elite trainer boxes, pokemon boxes and tins. The other stall will again have a large selection of single pokemon cards, complete master sets and psa or beckett slabs. So there is something for everyone at a pokemon fair. There are also often trading tables, where visitors can trade Pokémon cards with each other. There is always a very nice atmosphere at pokemon fairs and it is also nice to see all the faces in real life! Definitely recommended to visit a fair.
What can you do at a pokemon fair?
At the average Pokémon fair, you can buy, trade and watch. There are often a lot of booths that are well stocked, but this varies a lot from fair to fair. Some scholarships will be very large, others a lot smaller. There are also often booths of grading companies present, here you can then turn in your cards to be graded. Swapping can be done anywhere, but special swapping tables are usually deployed for it. And then, of course, you have the infinite number of single tickets and booster packs you can purchase there. At some fairs, special box breaks also take place, you may just find yourself watching the opening of a Base Set Booster Box live! It is important to have a good look at the information for each fair, usually it will tell you in advance what you can and cannot do there. And also the times and address are always on the flyers. One fair has developed a special website for it, another a Facebook page. In the end, there is easy information for all scholarships. If you really can’t figure it out, you can always search Google.
Do you have to pay entrance fees?
That depends on which fair it is, because at one fair it is completely free. At the others, you have to pay entrance fees. How big is the pokemon fair? How many booths are at these Pokémon fairs? How many men do they expect to come? What kind of hall or space was rented? Of course, it is not the intention for the organization to make a loss on a fun Pokémon event. So check carefully in advance if it costs money yes or no, and some fairs even require you to purchase a ticket in advance. There have been several fairs that were completely sold out, you also don’t want to stand at the door and then not be allowed in. So always purchase a ticket as soon as possible if you are sure you are going, that way you avoid disappointment if you are not allowed in.
How can I get my own booth at Pokémon fairs?
Again, this varies a lot by fair. Of course, the easiest option is to organize your own fair, then you are guaranteed a booth and/or stall. You can also approach the organization and ask what it costs to rent a table. You usually pay a small fee to rent the table and place. But again, this varies by fair and whether they ask you or you ask them. Because it could just be that you own a very large Pokémon store and you are asked, then again, for example, you don’t have to pay anything. The easiest way to contact the organization is to take a look at its website or facebook page.
What are our experiences with this type of scholarship?
So far, we’ve only had positive experiences with Pokémon fairs. This is because it is always very cozy there and we know many people from the pokemon community. It’s always laughter, banter and laughter, and sometimes you go home with very nice pokemon deals, too. Of course, it also helps that Pokemart.co.uk is already a very large and reliable pokemon shop so many customers already know you. You can recognize us when you see the name Pokemart at a stall and/or booth. Feel free to come and have a chat, we always find it very sociable! Who knows, maybe we’ll see you at the next Pokémon Fair!
Is Pokemart.co.uk also present?
Yes, Pokemart.nl can regularly be found at trade shows in Belgium and the Netherlands. Lately, however, not so often because it is quite busy. But in the future, you are definitely going to see us more often at these cozy fairs. After all, it is so cozy and a lot of collectors come to the fairs these days. Of course, if you missed us you can always shop on the website! We have a wide range of pokemon stuff and renew our offerings regularly.
