More and more celebrities investing in Pokémon cards

You may have already heard about it through the news, but more and more celebrities are stepping into the world of Pokémon cards. For example, did you know that Justin Bieber, Logan Paul, Steve Aoki and even Dutch celebrity Enzo Knol are already in the Pokémon card business? In this blog, we discuss it in detail. We are very grateful to these celebrities and are very happy to have them. In fact, they have a very large fan base on social media. This automatically qualifies their fans with Pokémon tickets as well.

Justin Bieber in Pokémon cards

Justin Bieber has an impressive collection, including several graded cards. The Pokémon cards are the largest trading card game franchise in the world for a reason. So somewhere it makes sense that there are a lot of celebrities participating, including Justin Bieber, for example. He started playing Pokémon-Go back in 2016. And in 2020, a video appeared on Twitter where he shows off some of his collection. They are in a frame that is attached to e wall. He also showed some graded WOTC Pokémon cards whereoner Dark Raichu, Slowking and Feraligatr. Watch the video below:

It’s super nice to see that a celebrity like Justin Bieber is also in the Pokémon world. However, his collection does not include super gems like a PSA 10 First edition Charizard or a No. 1 Trainer card. You would expect it because he has a lot of money in his bank account. Who knows, maybe that will come at some point in the future, we’ll move on to the next celebrity.

DJ Steve Aoki

Who doesn’t know him? The DJ with millions of fans around the world, he is all about the Pokémon cards. One of the celebrities who puts the most money into it, indeed he has even opened his own Pokémon store in America. Namely aokis card house, and besides that, his signature on Pokémon cards is now a real phenomenon among real collectors. He not only buys the most expensive tickets in the world, but also opens the most expensive boxes in the world live on streams. A true lover of the hobby was born in this celebrity. We hope he enjoys it and continues for years to come!

Logan Paul

It all started in 2020, when Logan Paul started buying Pokémon cards out of nowhere. Things got worse and worse with him and he kept buying. Then he moved on to the first edition booster boxes. He planned an opening, opened the box and disappeared from view. In the months since he “disappeared,” he bought up all available first edition booster boxes. To then do another box break with this. In fact, he is so famous that they sent all the cards he got from the packs during his box break to PSA and got their own label. So the cards you got from his packs are uniquely graded and worth even more than the normal versions without the special PSA Logan Paul labels. Below you can see three examples of these unique labels:

Enzo Knol

Yes, even Dutch celebrities are jumping on top of Pokémon by now. Last year, for example, fitness king Joel Beukers opened a WOTC booster box. But in the meantime, Enzo Knol is also participating. Indeed, he opened a Jungle Booster Box live in August 2021. The value of this sealed box was estimated at 8,500 euros to 12,000 euros. So a very expensive item to open. But super fun. We also noticed right away that many of his fans started saving with him, as more Dutch collectors showed up on the market and in our shop.
