It’s almost here, the release of the much-promising Pokémon GO TCG set we’ve been looking forward to for months! The thing is, The Pokemon Company and Niantics Pokémon GO are joining forces. So there will be a Pokémon GO theme in the Pokémon cards series, how cool is that? And to celebrate, Pokémon GO is launching an event that will last two weeks! In this blog we are going to tell you more about this special event.

What occurs in this event?

During this event, all Pokémon GO players will be spoiled. This is because there will be a lot of new Pokémon in the game, new challenges, collection challenges, field researches, raids and spawns. So the next two weeks are ideal for further expanding your Pokédex. So there will be a lot of new Pokémon rookies to add but also a lot of Pokémon from the regions: Johto, Kanto and a few other regions. So don’t be surprised if you soon see everyone playing Pokémon GO in the streets again just like when the game just came out in 2016.

When does the Pokémon GO TCG crossover event start?

This event started last Thursday at 10:00. So it may be that you missed the beginning, this is unfortunately because we only now have all the information available to post a comprehensive blog about it. It will end on Thursday, June 30 at 8:00 pm. So you still have plenty of time to participate in all the extras! Please note: mark June 25 in your calendar, because there will be something very special then. There will be a Community Day, you don’t want to miss that, do you?

It is also possible that there will be another special shiny Pikachu variant, but that is not yet certain. We’re going to find out soon enough. Ditto, of course, is not to be missed, only there is a twist. In fact, he disguises himself as Spinarak, Bidoof, Numel and Natu. Furthermore, there is a shiny Meltan to catch only here are special conditions attached. In fact, you can only get it through a mystery box.
