Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer

We are getting closer and closer to 2023 and that also means the new Pokémon generation is just around the corner! In fact, this new generation 9 is going to be called Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Pokemon Company has launched another new trailer and this one is a bit longer and provides us with much more information. So in this blog, we will go into more detail about this trailer and everything regarding the newest Pokémon generation Scarlet and Violet!

What’s in this new trailer?

There are a lot of new features on display in this new trailer. Among other things, the new evolution of Girafarig. The trailer lasts a whopping 14 minutes, so that’s a lot of viewing fun! More information is given about Terastal, Girafarig gets a new evolution called Farigiraf, we get to see how TMs work and we get to see that you can customize your trainer from now on. And to top it off, they show some gyms from the game. One of the towns will be called Artazon, here we get to see its gym and also see right away that you have to find Sunfloras before you can fight the gym leader. Wat uniek is aan dit spel, je kan nu zelf bepalen in welke volgorde jij de gyms verslaat. So you have the choice of which towns you want to be in and what all you want to explore first!

What are Terastal battles?

Above we mentioned that more information is given about Terastal, but what exactly is it? Terastal Battles is de opvolging van Raid Battles in de Pokémon Sword & Shield series. Je moet hier namelijk samen vechten met een groep trainers om een super sterke Pokémon te kunnen verslaan. These strong Pokémon also have a certain type, so it is useful to use types that are strong against them. In de trailer is te zien hoe een Chansey met Ghost type aangevallen wordt. Een erg leuke nieuwe optie dus!

When will Pokémon Scarlet and Violet come out?

Deze games zullen op 18 november 2022 verschijnen in Nederland op de Nintendo Switch. It will take place in the Paldea region, which in real life is based in Spain. The game was developed by Gamefreak and Nintendo.
