Arceus Pokemon cards

Arceus is a legendary Pokemon first introduced in Generation IV of Pokémon. Arceus is known as the “Alpha Pokémon” and has the ability to transform into any type of Pokémon, depending on the plate it wears. He is also called the GOD of Pokemon because he can thus take any form he wants. It also floats in the air and is very strong. So a super legendary Pokemon that was only released later in the series. There is even an entire Pokemon set named after him, but we’ll tell you more about that later in this pokemon blog.

Different types of Arceus pokemon cards

In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, there are several cards of Arceus. The first Arceus cards were released in 2009 as part of the Arceus set also known as Pokemon Platium Arceus. These cards contain different pictures of Arceus in different types such as fire, water and grass, depending on the picture the card represents. This was a special subset in this series, but Arceus is also on the cover of the booster boxes and the set was named after him. So a very popular Pokemon that deserves a little more attention. A super nice set to open, unfortunately it is already quite pricey in 2023.

One of the most popular Arceus cards is the “Arceus LV. X”. This card is a special LV.X card with the image of Arceus in its “normal” form and also has a holographic effect. As with the old EX cards, the entire side is shiny. Arceus LV. X is a very powerful card in the game and has different attacks and skills that players can use to defeat their opponents. Meanwhile, this card is also quite pricey, especially in a Beckett or PSA 10 you can get a nice amount for this!

Do Arceus cards have potential?

As a collectible, Arceus pokemon cards are often sought after by collectors because of their unique design and rarity. Some Arceus cards are quite rare and can be very expensive if found in perfect condition. It is a very popular legendary Pokemon that has certainly been well absorbed by the new generation. So the Pokemon definitely has potential and the older the cards (from 2009 the first) the more expensive they tend to get. Although the newest Arceus cards, think alternate art Arceus and the golden arceus from Crown Zenith also have a lot of potential! In short: an absolute top Pokemon that cannot be missing from your collection!

Where can I find the latest pullen?

Since January 2023, the Pokemon Sword & Shield Crown Zenith set has been released. This contains the special gold alternate art Arceus Pokemon card. This one is currently worth around 80 to 100 euros. Very difficult to stuff, but a wonderful card that cannot be missing from your Arceus collection.
