Today we are going to cover the eighth series of the SWSH line and that is namely the Pokemon Chilling Reign set. This set came out on June 18, 2021, and the Japanese variant came out a little earlier on April 23, 2021.
The English set has The English set has 233 Pokemon cards and the Japanese consists of 190 cards.
The Japanese variant is called: Silver Lance & Jet-Black Spirit, these are two different sets.
They merged two Japanese pokemon sets into the English variant Chilling Reign.

What do we think of this list?

It really is a wonderful list, this set has so many special Pokemon cards.
That it was even hard because there are more than 10 nice chase cards in this set.
So they didn’t even all fit on the list and there are super cool alternate arts missing.
The Blaziken VMAX isn’t just any card either, this is one of the very most expensive pokemon cards in the entire Sword & Shield line.
This is really special because there are very many sets released with nice cards.
It really is a top list and an underrated set in our opinion.

What is our future prediction for these cards?

As we noticed in early 2024, that’s when Chilling reign suddenly shot up in price.
Of course, that took the set’s most expensive cards with it.
It’s only a matter of time before this set becomes really expensive.
This is because there are so many nice cards in it that also have great value in money terms.
The sealed products are becoming more and more scarce and you see more and more hits appearing online of this set.
And then when you see them they have already become quite pricey.
We predict a good future for this set with a lot of potential and nice cards in it!
